So one awesome project that my in-laws have been working on is a cabin. They built a completely off-the-grid, self sustaining cabin complete with gravity fed water and propane stove and fridge. My husband and I stayed there, and Dad asked me to design him a logo. This is the result!
I'm rather pleased with how it turned out. Little bit of design information. I decided on the round shape to make it more "woodsy." The point was that it would clearly represent the cabin whie being simple enough to be a logo. This was all done by hand, and every part can be moved and changed.
The type was chosen in order to be able to sub-conciously read it (always important!). I think one of the most rookie mistakes in design is making the text unreadable or difficult. Our brains are wired to avoid difficult to read texts, and it automatically makes a logo less approachable.
