This was the final project for my Graphic Design class. We had to make a professional-quality magazine cover of our own life. The name, logo, and cover all had to be thought up and designed to fit the perception that we had of ourselves. I had gotten engaged over the summer and my perception of myself was slowly changing from a chic city girl to a laid back, shabby chic country girl. I tried to make this evident through the name of the magazine as well as the font used in the various body texts. Once again, there is so much that I would fix and tweak, but this is what was turned in.

College work
One thing I always regretted in my major was the lack of a portfolio. I chose the "easy" path of Communications and Music rather than Fine Art. Since I don't want to freelance anymore, it still seems like a wise choice. However, almost every communications-related job has asked for proof of creativity, and so this blog. It's not my regular one (newlywedsinnashville.blogspot.com is the "regularly updated one") but I'll post whenever I create something new. For now, here are some things that I've done while in college.

This is a basic photoshop that I did for a Digital Imaging class. |

Obviously, this is one of my favorite designs ever. This was our wedding invitation. It was printed on a think piece of cardstock to try to capture the texture of the burlap. |

Once again, a wedding-related design. This was the front of our programs. |
